Machu Picchu (Old Mountain) refers to the range encircling the city. Wayna (also Huayna) Picchu (Young Mountain) is steep-sided mountain adjacent to the city. This can be seen one third of the way from the left, almost dwarfed by the surrounding mountains. Click image for larger photograph
