The viewpoint is about quarter of a mile west of Great Dodd's summit and 200 feet lower, on the route down to Mill Gill. Off to the right in the foreground is Watson's Dodd with an obvious route to next-in-line Stybarrow Dodd. The conical summit of Catstye Cam is directly beyond Stybarrow. Further along the ridge are Raise, White Side, the sharp peak of Helvellyn Lower Man, and in the distance, Helvellyn itself. The ground is thick with frost, with only a few patches left of recent snow. Smaller version of this picture.
