Buttermere and Fleetwith Pike - Olympus 35RC
The English Lake District is the most beautiful natural terrain I know. In 1990 I was fortunate enough to be able to come to live here permanently and walk the Lakeland fells to my heart's content. This site is dedicated to all those who explore the area on foot. Smaller version of this picture.

19 January 2008 - I've recently returned from a walking tour in the Simien Mountains in Ethiopia, where the scenery is absolutely stunning. An extended trip report is presented here.
May 2007 - I've recently returned from a walking tour of Sicilian volcanoes, i.e. Etna, Stromboli and Vulcano. Photographs of the trip are accessed here.
On Christmas Day 2006 a temperature inversion resulted in cloud being trapped in the Lakeland valleys up to an elevation of around 2,500 feet. There was glorious sunshine and clear air above this level. I climbed Dove Crag from Brotherswater and continued to Fairfield before descending via Hartsop above How. I've kept these photos together here
